I wrote this poem to try to make people realize how their words can affect other people. We have more impact on other's lives than we realize. I, along with several of my friends, have gone through rough periods in our lives. For some, it has gotten to the point of attempted suicide, and this needs to stop. I hope that this poem inspires you to be the light in another's life. A simple act of kindness can mean the difference between life and death to someone. You never know what others are going through, so be kind to everyone no matter what.
