I wrote this play for a man. Our long-distance relationship seemed like Romeo and Juliet's balcony scene. The story is based on the original Shakespearean work, but I tried to make it deeper to capture and cherish all of the moments we shared together. The play is full of metaphors, so don't take everything literally. Mostly, it is about my insecurities regarding the long-distance aspect, and the play actually came before we were able to see each other in real life. I wrote this when I was 15 years old so if you think that the main character is really mean to her brother, Tony, it's because in reality I was a bitch to my real brother now that I'm rereading through my stories at 24 years old, I realize how horrible I was. I can't believe that I treated my real brother the same way I was treating a fictional one.
