Midnight in Duskwood
After her mother passed away a week later, MC returned to her home and left the hectic city life. She discovered an old hand phone inside her mother's desk while cleaning the house, but it was empty. She was suddenly interrupted by a call on that hand phone. Thomas asked her if she knew where Hannah, his girlfriend, was since he had gotten a message from her with a phone number. She has been joined to a group chat with Hannah's friends and family while she is still perplexed. After all the commotion from the group chat, a hacker by the name of Jake got in touch with her. He asks for MC's assistance in finding Hannah, and MC must comply because she has no other option. The more information the MC learned about Hannah and the others while looking for clues, Jake and MC thought one of Hannah's friends was responsible for Hannah's disappearance. Then, MC learned about the man without a face, legendary Duskwood creature; he leaves a raven's mark on the doors of the worst sinners. Each year, on the night of the first new moon, he returns to the houses he has marked, drags anybody inside-guilty or not-out into the forest, never to be seen again. MC initially refused to believe in paranormal phenomena, but as time went on, inexplicable catastrophes began to occur. The faceless individual attacked Jessy, threatened Cleo's mother in a letter, and painted a red raven symbol on Richy's garage. Jake and MC continue their investigation into Hannah's disappearance because it appears that no harm has been done until Richy was attacked by the man without a face in the woods and was bleeding. What will MC do after that? Will she finish her inquiry or halt it before another person dies? ****************************************************************** English is not my first language, I'm sorry for grammar error ⚠️ All rights to Everbyte Credit picture : Google & UnsplashConcluida

Perennial: Book 1 Of The Bright Series
Amelia Bright has a special skill; when she talks to plants, they respond. Well, not immediately. But they grow better when she sits in her garden and has a chat. In a world where vampires hide in nightclubs and wizards advertise their services to a skeptical society via an ignored newspaper, Amelia retreats to a cottage she inherited from a reclusive aunt. It's a pretty good life for a millennial; a rent-free existence where your annoying neighbour is a bear, but when a man who calls himself Martin Everly shows up and starts leaving creepy garden gnomes in the forest behind the cottage, Amelia gets a pressing urge to lock up the cottage and never come back. What does Martin want? Will Amelia be able to shake that weird feeling before it forces her out of her lucky inheritance? The Book of Adventures [EDITING SOON]
A child on the brink of death, and when faced with Death herself, the child just couldn't bear it and he begged. "Lady... Can you please end my suffering?" The lady in velvet cloak looked down at him, confused. 'Why does this human asks for his death? Doesn't he want to live and take revenge on those who have hurted him?' She thought. His peculiarity piqued her interest. And instead of taking the child's life like how he wishes, the lady in velvet cloak took him in. Will life blossom fondly to the child after being abandoned by his family? Will the lady even understand the meaning of life for others? Or will they end up being fond of one another? Forever His
It was now nighttime and I returned to my room which was very dark. The curtains were closed, strange I'm sure it was open this morning... Whatever. I put my bag down and went straight into the shower. I didn't spend a long time inside cause I was very tired and wanted to sleep. It was an exhausting day, I searched for some work, but like usual I failed... I sighted. I went out of the bathroom with only a towel around my waist and started to sit down when someone pushed me into the floor. Shit! Who was that? What did he want? I was very afraid and I had a lot of question passing my mind in this few seconds but didn't want to submit to my aggressor. I groaned and tried to get myself up, but he... Yeah, he was too strong and big to be she... Put his knee on my back and started to tie my hands together with some rope. Was he trying to kidnap or tie me? I froze in fear for a few seconds and stopped moving. I suppose he let his guard down since I stopped struggling, so I took this chance and flipped us over. It was now my turn to be on top and somehow succeeded to untie myself. I was lucky he didn't have time to fully tie me yet, so it was kind of easy. It was dark, so I couldn't see his face, but I still put my hands around his throat and started to strangle him a bit. 'W-Who are you and w-what do y-you want?' I asked trying to hide my fear that I miserably failed. '...' He still didn't respond, I was starting to loose control on myself. His silence was killing me and I started to shake in fear. Then he spoke and caught all my attention: 'You're so cute when you're afraid pet.' I froze, I recognized this voice and my fear turned to be true. All the struggling to escape, to disappear, to forget about him now came back in an instant. I was now trembling constantly losing all control of my body, my hand lets go of the man throat and all I could do was shakily say: 'Dimitri...'
