A small family leads a normal life, where the kids have crushes, the dad has a good job, and the mom helps at home. Except for the fact that their shadows are living, sentient beings smarter than the average person. Regardless, they live their lives as plain people living in a nice suburban area. But, when a party becomes a scene out of Jurassic Park, the Brighton kids, Josh, Ben and Rachel discover that they posses magic-like abilities, which their shadows posses the opposite of. Events then take a turn for the weird- well, as weirder as it can be when your shadows' talk. A mysterious, malintentive person, a fearsome alien bounty hunter, and every monster and baddie dreamed up in the world are just a few of the foes they will encounter. With the universe against them, these triplets will need all the powers they can muster- and all the powers of their Opposites as well- to save both our worlds.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

Its been two thousand years since humanity lost their home planet and a thousand since they first made landfall on the world they now call home. The trip was long and fraught with danger but they managed to survive in no small part to the new gods they found along the way. The Celestial Court granted life to various forms of variant human species, sculpted to perfection as the next evolution for mankind. After a thousand years however humanity finds itself on the edge of collapse, as technology from the old world breaks down more and more the people of the new world are regressing into a more feudal state of living. As technology declines and degrades, magic and the supernatural has become the norm. Conflicts are on the rise between the different factions of the Celestial Empire all while the gods themselves watch from above silently. In one small corner of the Empire rests the Black Coast, home to the mysterious and ostracized race known as the Twins. It is in this quiet place that a set of triplets will determine the fate of not just the Empire, but the world as a whole for decades to come. --- This is a book I've been working on for a few years when I have the time. Due to my dyslexia there are grammar/editing errors from time to time. I am hard at work trying to polish the book as I do my big round of editing prior to publishing online. My experience in posting online is not great, so please be mindful that there may be tweaks to format and the like. WARNING, this story contains gore, violence, body horror, suicidal thoughts, swearing, and various other sensitive subjects.

Hero's Call

37 parts Complete

The world was once protected by superheroes who fought against the world's worst Villains. For centuries, Earth's history was shaped by the battles between Hero and Villain. When the Dreadnaught Virus was released on the world, it eradicated the Hero gene - the gene that grants extraordinary powers to anyone who possesses it. With the turn of the millennium approaching, the world is now a normal place, despite the Y2K crisis looming over everyone. Heroes and Villains are a thing of the past. Despite being from a long line of Heroes, Milo Radcliff is a normal teenager in a normal Midwestern town. He wants more than anything to be a Hero and face off against the worst Villains the world has to offer, but he has to settle for working a paper route and dealing with the school bully. When Milo's Hero gene unexpectedly activates, and he puts the bully through the side of a house, he and his friends are swept up into a decades old battle between two nemeses that could plunge the entire world into chaos.
