They say humans dream about having 'powers'. Flying, reading minds, turning invisible. They wish for everything they don't have. 
Then there's us. We actually CAN fly, read minds, turn invisible, that kind of stuff. But most of us dream of being what humans would call being 'normal'. So we escape to Earth to live a 'normal' life among humans. Most of us only have one power. Those of us that have more than one power, are in the peace keeping society. That's me. My job is to monitor the rouges who escape to Earth and, eventually, bring them back to face the court. Some part of me feels that it's wrong, that maybe we are equal to humans. The universe run by Mothu is crazy. Powers run rampant in this world, and people can live over 10x longer than in ours. In this world, humans, over the course of millions of years, had made a reliable form of fast space travel. They had spread out and explored the universe, inhabiting and colonizing various planets. They found orbs, orbs that held immense powers. One of those orbs, the one of time was taken back to earth, as it was the first-place humans lived, so it got first dibs. Unfortunately, they tried to use the time orb to bring back people from the dead too many times. The orb malfunctioned and send the earth and its inhabits back millions of years to year zero. No one really cared and left earth stuck back in its past. The other orbs were taken and spread out between key planets, all of which were among the first planets to be colonized. They were renamed after the orb they received. Of course, peace was never going to last. People began fighting over the orbs that granted such wonderful powers. The fighting lasted for centuries. Around 500at (at=after time warp of earth,) Four people with enormous powers rose to the top and took all the orbs for themselves. They were eventually sealed away by a resistance group and the galaxy made a treaty to try to prevent such an event from ever happening again. Peace took hold once again and people freely traveled between planets. Security became more and more lax, people became more trusting again. All of this left the door wide open for one man to go on a mission to reclaim the orbs, in hopes of bringing back those four men...

I thought it was some hoax to make sure that the on going war between the heavens and the underworld does not end and underworld forces do not win.
