On our backs, staring up at the heavens, we grasped each other's hands.
I stared at him, soaking in every detail on his face.
The scar on his forehead from when he fell off a tree when he was 3 years old.
The way his nose curved into his lips.
The way his eyes sparkled when he saw me laughing and smiling, having no a single care in the world.
The way he was alive and existed, lying next to me - being a presence, a constant in my life.
And the thoughts played in my mind. Oh, how I loved him.
