Phillip Hunter was faced with losing his wife to Ovarian Cancer. Watching her die slowly was excruciating. Allyson was the love of his life. Phillip could not imagine living without her. With his late night drinking and working himself ragged during the time he could not spend with Allyson he was surely dying alongside her.
Peyton Rhodes was a wanderer. With no real roots she went where ever the wind carried her. When she catches word of her best friend’s sickness, Peyton drops everything to spend the last remaining months with her upon Allyson’s request.
It had never occurred to either of them that Allyson had an ulterior motive. If Allyson’s plan worked she could give her fun-loving flighty best friend roots while showing her dedicated husband that the world doesn't die with Allyson.
