Thirteen year old Ulysses has spent all his life aboard the giant spaceship Adeventurer, but when his parents are killed by space pirates, he learns  that he is to be sent to an orphanage on the nearest planet where he will be stranded for the rest of his life. He then goes ahead and does the logical thing- he steals a hypersonic space plane planning to do cargo runs between outlying planets while searching for the pirate ship. Along the way he picks up a tea drinking hippie-bear and the slightly irreverent daughter of the Adventurer's captain.

N.B. This story is written as a final irreverent farewell to pedantic language rules- it has only a beggining, the rest comes as I think of it. Goodbye AS level English!
