Beautiful Tragedy

Years ago the country was taken over by disease. Rumors spread and soon the country was split up, with one side being known as "The Infected". They were irrational and dangerous. People believed they were the work of the devil.

Years passed and turns out the children of "The Infected" possessed the same abilities. When the government found out they began to imprison, torture, and kill them.

Among "The Infected" is Cora Sanchez; a seventeen year old who has seen far too much in her life, including her parents brutally murdered. Since then she's been sitting in prison, alone. Until she hears Luke's angelic voice.

In the country being different is frowned upon, this is nothing new to eighteen year old Luke and having two very affectionate, lesbian mothers, he already feels as though he's different from everyone. Not that he was much like the other guys to begin with.

But what happens when Luke finds out that the girl he's been talking to for so long is the work of the devil?
