After a terrible break-up Avery decides to not sulk and instead looks forward to her trip to Los Angeles. But, she gets kidnapped by none other than her boyfriend- ex boyfriend.

"Why?" I asked. He only gave me a smug grin and said, "You're a princess." 
"Shut up." I said for him to understand that this was no joke.
"Do you believe in animism?" He asked.
"No." 
"Then, you should start believing in it, princess."

Avery never expected to turn out as a princess but that's her fate which led her here. 
Animism- a belief that all living organisms have a soul.
