Being an orphan at the age of fifteen has resulted in the introvert personality she hides behind, causing Cali to only have one friend and a boyfriend she's not quite sure she wants anymore.
On the account of her mothers death, an invitation to her high school reunion leads her directly into the path of Alastair, the extremely attractive twenty-four year old she can't seem to shake off her tail.
She immediately notices something very off about him, and soon enough she finds out just what that is, and it's not what she expected.
Cali finds her entire life blown to pieces by a man she's not sure is entirely human, and she quickly realizes that he might just be the death of her. Literally.
Regardless of the danger he has dragged her into she can't seem to stay away. He might just be everything she has always dreamed of.
