Asha was born in a barn but raised in the woods. That sounds strange. Why would a kitten leave the warm, sheltered place of a barn for the dark, dangerous home of the forest?
The answer is simple. She is the daughter of Storm, one of the most feared cats in the forest. Asha is his only daughter, aside from Katherine, who is given up to a close friend.
When a sudden sickness spreads through the forest, Storm catches it and can no longer perform his duties. Asha steps up with the help of her step mother Caramel to lead her group.
