Haven't you ever felt different? Like your head stuck out like a sore thumb? And no one else seemed to understand you? You must be a different. Like me. My name is Jessica. I grew up knowing that I was special. No one else smiled like me... Or smiled at all. They walked in an array while I was in my own free circle. I had a friend just like me. Her name was Rachel. You see I say Rachel WAS her name because she.. She. Well she couldn't take it. She didn't want to be different. But honestly it's a gift. We, the differents live in Odessa. And this is the story of how I got here, and more. We are the differents. And we write history.

I wrote this when I was like 13. Never edited it. Read at your own risk. Hate A very strong word Love An even stronger emotion There will always be things you want, things that you need But how many of them you can actually get? That is life, it makes us lust about things we can't have and if we do, we are trapped. This is a journey about a girl with a past which isn't exactly filled with flowers but isn't exactly filled with storms too. And has traveled to let it go. It's just one year. Where will a year with Williams take her? We all want things, we crave them, we need them to breathe and carry on. But can we have them? That is what changes lives It changed Emmy's Highest rank #82 in teen fiction
