The Chronicles of Rune
After I had a dream where I met a new character, Rune Yung Tan, my writing for the work Redemption for Superheroes started to lean towards the story about Rune, and that isn't what I am working for in that other piece. In that case, I only want the story parts to be metaphorical, and not an actual character- driven narrative. So I took some of the parts that related to a stand alone narrative and repurposed them. I didn't say recycled, even though the first sections are very similar, I reworked the grammar to a more classic sense, changed first person to a character named Dean, added a little more character background and description, and added content. This is going to be a more strait forward story, which I consider to be more of a stand alone than a spin off. Also it feeds my perfectionism to rewrite passages and put them in multiple works. Finally, this isn't the first time I "met" a character in a dream, I found out that Valentine's real name is Valeria Maria Contessa Garcia, she chose the former moniker herself in a similar epiphany to the one Rune came to me in. "Chaos: The Spark Behind the Muse" ay kwento ng isang 22-year old na babae, Accountancy student sa isang mamahaling University sa Manila. Siya si Vee, na naging bihag ng kanyang mga sakit at takot. Iniwan ng pamilya at ipinagkatiwala sa mayamang lola, pinilit niyang magpatuloy sa buhay, subalit ang kalungkutan mula sa pagkakahiwalay sa pamilya ay naghatid sa kanya sa madilim na landas. Sa bawat hakbang, nagiging mahirap ang pagkontrol sa kaguluhan sa kanyang buhay-pag-takas sa gabi, clubbing, at pagkalulong sa bawal na gamot dulot ng pag-sama sa iba ibang kaibigan. Lahat ng ito ay naging paraan ni Viena upang matakasan ang kanyang pinagdadaanan, ngunit hindi nito naalis ang sakit sa kanyang puso. Sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, isang tao lang ang patuloy na nagmamahal sa kanya-ang kanyang half-brother na si Lucas. Ngunit dahil sa takot na muling maiiwan, tinanggihan niya ito, iniisip na hindi siya karapat-dapat sa pag-mamahal. Habang patuloy na nalulugmok sa kaguluhan ng kanyang buhay, walang alam si Lucas at ang iba pang miyembro ng pamilya na may malubhang kondisyon si Vee, isang sakit na dati'y akala ni Vee ay PTSD. He yells at her with hatred, he blamed her for being the one will cause a woman to be beaten; He didn't want to be that kind of man. However, what he lived with her caused him to bring out what he hated the most about himself from within. -Forget it love- said a woman who was next to her- it's not worth it- this dog was supposed to be her friend, she was supposed to support her just like she did; however he managed so that he and she hated each other and thus be able to steal it. The woman on the floor does not know how much she was framed and harmed by her naivety, nor did she know that this was the beginning of her misfortunes. Because of that woman she did not stop suffering, wherever she went she suffered verbal or physical abuse and everything was orchestrated by this woman; she didn't know until she was about to faint. "Why?" She asked this unarmed woman without knowing why she hated him so much. She never did anything to hurt him. She just laughed viciously without answering him, she didn't have to waste her time with an insect; leaving La to die imprisoned in the house where she was kidnapped. "Answer me!" She got up from her bed screaming "Eh? This looks like my room; Did I reincarnate myself in the past?" She ran to the bathroom just to see that her assumption was correct. She thanked the heavens for this second chance by promising that she wouldn't be fooled a second time.Complete

Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

Anderia sweated profusely as she was running since one hour finally she was able to escape the kidnappers and hid somewhere in the woods. Tired and hungry her timid body refused to run any further, and finally gave in, she felt giddiness and fall to the ground. After sometime she found herself on a hard and uncomfortable bed, her surroudings were quiet shabby, she began to panic and looked around,she found a small girl standing nearby staring with her round beautiful eyes and she smiled when she saw Anderia was finally awake and began calling "GrandMa! She is finally awake," said the little girl to an old woman. An old woman came to look and saw Anderia and asked how she was feeling? Anderia was lost for words and was quiet thirsty from all the running she did. She just nodded with fear and asked for some water to drink. Anderia drank hurriedly as she had not seen water in somedays now. She thanked the old lady and sat quietly. Anderia's life was not this always, why this happened to her and why was she hiding? These two questions kept rushing to her mind.Complete
