Written for my son, Dawson, who was diagnosed with high-functioning autism. Like most kids struggling with this, he has been bullied, laughed at and mistreated by fellow students. He also has been labeled a 'bad kid' only because teachers and students do not know how to handle his behavior. I wrote this in a way to inform people that autism isn't something to push away it is a real disease that needs to be talked about. Stand up and spread the word: autism; because it matters.
