Thomas passes away at sixty years old due to heart cancer. But life isn't quite done screwing him up. So when Thomas wakes up again, young and healthy, he's utterly confused. He finds himself surrounded by his past, and through the grief he has one purpose. He's not stupid. He knows he's got a chance to do it again. But he's not just going again. He's doing it better. He's got the chance, and whether that was the meaning or not, he's doing it better. He will. He won't fail them again. DISCLAIMER FOR WHOLE STORY: I am not James Dashner. "They thought I had betrayed them. But I thought otherwise. I got my way and I was proud of it. I knew what awaited me, but I did it anyway, just like anyone would do in my place. I did it to protect a loved one and I don't regret it at all. If they thought they were going to scare me, they were wrong. "I beg you, don't do this! " Thomas shouted. "She didn't do anything! " "Don't tell them anything! " I turned to him. "Give her an injection and put her in place! " Called out again a male voice, but I didn't know to whom it belonged. "Stop it!" Thomas tried to defend me. "It's not her! That was me! " "No! " I shouted. " You promised me something! Don't tell them anything... " I couldn't say anything more, because at the same moment I felt a prick in my neck and Thomas screaming. "Good luck..." Growled the same male voice, but I still didn't know who it belonged to. I looked at Thomas for the last time. Brunet finally freed himself from the guards and moved towards me, even though the guards who were holding me were already leading me towards the box. Boy managed to run up to me and at the last moment he joined our lips together. A moment later, the guards separated us again, and I began to lose consciousness. "I'll find you! " He shouted to me. What if?
What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...) The blonde is stuck in a coma, and Thomas wants nothing more than for him to wake up. He spends nearly all his time there, praying that his Newt would just shucking wake up already. What happens when Thomas needs to actually start helping out? How much had Newt's coma ruined the boy, and how much had Thomas missed?
