Thomas passes away at sixty years old due to heart cancer. But life isn't quite done screwing him up. So when Thomas wakes up again, young and healthy, he's utterly confused. He finds himself surrounded by his past, and through the grief he has one purpose. He's not stupid. He knows he's got a chance to do it again. But he's not just going again. He's doing it better. He's got the chance, and whether that was the meaning or not, he's doing it better. He will. He won't fail them again. DISCLAIMER FOR WHOLE STORY: I am not James Dashner. What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...)
