I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." It's been 2 decades since the sport was created and some of the best pilots in the world were molded from fire flight. The best pilots usually came from the best schools which had a lot of money to provide the best equipment possible. However, the same cannot be said about the lesser fortunate schools. All schools, rich or poor, have to pay for all the equipment (aircraft, dummy munitions, etc.) themselves. Meaning the rich schools usually were able to afford the best tech while middle and low class schools had to settle for hand-me-downs or worse. Kevin McNamara is an autistic senior in the backwater high school of Monarca High, Monarca, California. He will join the "Monarca Kestrels" fire flight squadron and fill the spot of Kristopher Kestrel, who tragically died in an aircraft collision earlier in the year.
