After a situation goes sour, notorious thief, Pete Wentz is forced to go into hiding, but with a prized jewel in his possession and the police hot on his trail he becomes worrisome of his chances of getting out of it unscathed. His old friend, Brendon, gets in touch with him at the right time, however, and Pete decides that it's in his best interest to hide out with him since this friend just so happens to live in a small town.
