The story revolves around William Barnaby Carters, a grade school student is sadly, deaf. He transfers into a new school, where he is bullied by his classmates, especially Arin Knightly. It gets to the point where William transfers to another school and as a result, Arin is bullied himself, with no friends to speak of and no plans for the future.
