This is a fanfiction based on the BBC's Merlin Television series which I absolutely loved. Though I was always disappointed that Merlin didn't tell Arthur the truth outside the Disir's cave. This is my take on how things would have went if Merlin had revealed his magic then.

Boy From The Woods

20 parts Complete

Arthur Pendragon has always trusted his father's opinion of sorcery. He has witnessed, first hand, the atrocities Camelot's enemies could commit with the aid of magic. However, after Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen give shelter to a strange boy, Merlin, they find wandering the woods, Arthur begins to question all he knows. Will Arthur be able to protect Merlin from his dark past? What if Merlin wasn't raised by Hunith or even Gaius, but by a corrupt king intent on taking advantage of Merlin's power? **merthurish** (Also on AO3)
