A young girl during the fascist times of Portugal. In a dreary household with an abusive older brother and house servant, an ailing Grandmother and a distant, but emotionally stunted father, she starts to question many things and dives straight into a nightmarish journey with an eccentric but gruesome entity as her companion.

Author's Note: Each chapter title pertains to a hidden detail that ties in with the story as the reader progresses. It will never be obvious, as there is no fun in that. so it is up to the reader to puzzle it out. All these hidden details will make sense as the story goes on, should the reader locate them.
