Emily is a self confessed work-a-holic, everyday she would come to work on exactly the same time and leave at exactly the same time in the evening. She is so dedicated to her jounalism job that she has little time for the things around her; her friends, family, and even love. Yes, Emily does not have time for love, she refuses to let a love life get in the way of her work. One fine morning on September 5th, a new recruit wanders aimlessly in the office, confused of where he is supposed to set up his desk. He goes to Emily for advice, as she is a mere few metres in front of him, she directs him to the desk next to her and turns back to work. The man never even had a chance to inroduce himself, Emily was too busy with writing her article. William, the new recruit, is one step ahead of Emily, she is unaware that William even wants to know who she is. Everyday, he would turn up ten minutes before Emily, as the other workers of the Lilydale Sun had informed William of the time Emily turned yo for work, and leave an anonymous soy latte and a Post-It note with a message on it like 'Will you ever realise I want to get to know you?' or 'Hope you have a great day.' Emily fails to realise Williams attempts, as he tries to become more obvious that it is him. William is ready to give up hope, as he comes to the conclusion that he has no chance with Emily what so ever. In a quick last minute attempt, he decides to write his name on the Post-It, maybe then Emily will realise what has been going on, right in front of her clueless eyes.
