This is my third book of poetry published on Wattpad. In this book I intend to delve deeper into my personal struggle with addiction and the consequences that ensued as it evolved. As always, a big shout out to my supportive family, without whom I probably would not still be alive today. I love you all so much.
This book has a special dedication to someone who I have been close with my entire life and someone who saw me through my addiction from one side to the other.
This book is dedicated to Joseph Sircy, my brother.
Thank you to Joe; my partner in crime; my friend; my family for life; for always standing by my side, for looking out for me and taking me under your wing since I was born. You have been an amazing ally in my life and I don't ever want to know what it would be like to exist here without you. Approaching Too Far Gone: An Addiction Memoir
Is one more drink worth your life? Is it worth hers? Diane is a fun-loving, intelligent, caring mother and wife when she is sober. When she is drunk, the "monster" takes control and stops at nothing to wreak havoc on the ones she loves. As her alcoholism worsens, Diane spirals out of control. Her oldest child, Anthony, attempts to build the courage to help his mom before the "monster" defeats her once and for all. In his personal journal, Anthony chronicles three days from hell as he battles his mom's addiction. All of the destruction, failed recovery attempts, and heartaches lead to one bloody moment.
