This is a true story about me Dealing with anorexia. I decided to share my story so it can help me through my recovery at the moment and help others who are dealing with the same thing. Anorexia is no Joke.
I would like to thank my Mum and My Dad for helping me along this journey through tough times and always being there when I fall. I would like to thank my sister who helped me through tough times and always being there when I was upset or needed someone to talk to. I would also like to give a big thank you to the Brisbane Mater hospital CHMYS and my hometown CHYMS for helping me getting better and saving my life. I would like to thank all my friends I made in hospital who I were going through the same battle that I was going through, you were always the best to talk to since you understand and new what we were going through. I don’t know where I’d be with out all this help. Even though i am still in recovery it wont be an easy journey but i wanted to share my story.

You become prey to your disease and You can't fight back. That is what it's like for someone who has spent years of their life suffering in silence from an eating disorder. “After my 16th birthday I have been repeatedly told that my Mum and Dad were very wicked people. They would beat me and even lock me in a room without food, for days. But that’s the thing, I have always been “told” things. I don’t remember any of it because the doctors had put amnesia gas on so that I would forget everything. As far As I know. My name is Amelia Lockwood and I am 17 years old. I live with my two “Parents” and I have no siblings. I go to Paddington high school and I have 4 friends but I have one best friend who has been with me from day one. If you expect this story to be a happy one. Sorry but you are very wrong. Rita becomes strict with her eating, everyday the number of calories she eats gets lower and the amount of time she does cardio gets higher. She practices of managing her starvation by distracting it and never catches a break on the scale. Nobody is aware of it, it was something Rita doesn't want her friends or family to know, hiding her body from them didn't last long. Her mother noticed the dramatic weight change on her body. She tries to help her get back to her eating and tells her many times that she's "perfectly skinny" but nothing works. Background: I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Reagan. My parents picked our names last minute because they didn't really care about what they were going to name us. My family lives in a huge house in Texas. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a lawyer so our family is pretty much rich. My parents rarely pay attention to any of us because they never wanted us. They give us money every month so that we won't have to bother them when we need money for something. I could probably be happy about that if my life was actually good and not a living hell. My brother is 23 years old so he doesn't live with us anymore. He's really smart and he's been at Yale since he was 19. He's majoring in music. My little sister is 15 years old and she's super friendly. She's also really smart, but she doesn't act like it because she doesn't want to be judged. so, I've been struggling for a long time now, and I never told anyone about it. I've never opened up. but I met someone who understands how I feel, and I'm beginning to feel again. I don't know how to do it, but I finally feel I can fight. I've been so exhausted. I'm not better, I'm not sure if i ever will be, but I'm not numb, not entirely. I can't say how I'm feeling, or what i am going to write, but if you want it, it's here. This is for you. For everyone who was made to be the villain by those meant to be by their sides.
