mis·hap ˈmisˌhap/ noun an unlucky accident. Teagan is like any other eighteen-year-old-bubbling with dreams and big plans. She has her life mapped out: get into some-any-too-good art school and breeze through on the highs and happiness her brush strokes and charcoals could bring her. But life has a funny way of rerouting itself. When Teagan crosses paths with small-town football star Boedyn McCoy, life does exactly that. The spark between them is undeniable-but Teagan never expected to be the one burned by the flames of their love. Left alone to sweep up the ashes of what was supposed to be her one and only love, Teagan isn't just mending a broken heart. She's learning how to navigate motherhood at eighteen and grieving the life she put all her hope in. And just when she's finally built a quiet rhythm for herself and her daughter Hadley-Boedyn comes back after four years. Now, Teagan is forced to question everything. Was it just bad timing between them... or were they always destined to fall apart?
