Ghost Town

"Hello?" I whispered. I knew I shouldn't say anything too loud, so I just hoped if there was someone alive in there, they could hear me.

I heard more rustling, then the door handle turned slightly and the door opened just a crack.

I whispered again. "Hello? Is anyone in there?" I leaned closer and peered inside as best I could.

The door opened a bit more and I could make out a pair of dark brown eyes. Suddenly the door closed and I could hear the sound of a chain lock being undone. The door reopened and a boy stepped out.

"What do you want?"
