Soft delectable lips came crashing down on mine, and before I knew what was happening I was kissing him. But this kiss was not like any other I'd had before, no those kisses seemed so plain, so dull in comparison to the electrifying sparks that ignited every time our lips nearly just brushed against each other. With each gesture of passion, I felt a flame flare up in my soul that could only come alive with the kiss of a true love, a soul mate. Mate. Oh no what was I doing? I pushed him away regretfully. "Drew." He asked confused, and I couldn't blame him. I was his soul mate, the woman that was destined to be in his life forever and it would only make sense for him to be confused if I didn't kiss him. But I couldn't, not when I had a secret that could endanger both our lives, so instead of running into his arms like any sane she-wolf would do, I turned away and walked out.

Ranked #22 in Isolation 07/25/2023 "I'm not mate material. You're better off without me." My heart clenched at his words and my wolf whined internally. "I, James, reject you, Grace, as my ma-" I lunged across the counter quickly placing my hand over his mouth. My other hand shot to the table to stabilize myself and I hissed loudly as I dumbly slammed it down on his knife. I could feel it biting into my palm slicing the flesh but I dared not move in fear that he would finish his sentence. "Please don't do that to me." I pleaded as my eyes began to well with unshed tears. He attempted to lean back out of my hold but I only moved with him crawling fully onto the counter hovering above him, one hand still firmly pressed to his mouth. I could feel pleasant tingles surging through my palm and I wondered briefly what it would feel like to be kissed by him. He moved back again and when I tried to move with him this time I successfully slipped off the counter losing my grip on his mouth. His arms reached out pulling me to his form rather than the ground and I clutched onto his top as sparks danced on my skin everywhere we made contact. I couldn't help my instincts as I breathed in his scent feeling my muscles relax and my head go light. "You're an idiot to be begging for someone you don't even know." He looked at my bloody palm that now gripped his grey shirt properly staining it. I released my hold on him trying not to cringe at the pain in my palm but I was never good at hiding my emotions. "Idiot." He stated again staring at me.
