Soft delectable lips came crashing down on mine, and before I knew what was happening I was kissing him. But this kiss was not like any other I'd had before, no those kisses seemed so plain, so dull in comparison to the electrifying sparks that ignited every time our lips nearly just brushed against each other. With each gesture of passion, I felt a flame flare up in my soul that could only come alive with the kiss of a true love, a soul mate. Mate. Oh no what was I doing? I pushed him away regretfully. "Drew." He asked confused, and I couldn't blame him. I was his soul mate, the woman that was destined to be in his life forever and it would only make sense for him to be confused if I didn't kiss him. But I couldn't, not when I had a secret that could endanger both our lives, so instead of running into his arms like any sane she-wolf would do, I turned away and walked out.

My breathing was ragged, and my heart pounded wildly, a mixture of anger, confusion, and hurt churning inside me. "I didn't kiss her. She kissed me." A sarcastic laugh escaped me. "How nice for you! You don't even have to chase after women; they just throw themselves at you. Why don't you stay with her, then? Leave me alone!" "I like bothering you," he replied calmly, his voice infuriatingly smooth. "I like it when act like this. Feisty and hot." He sat on the edge of the bed, watching me. I paused, his words striking a chord. "Shut up!!" I snapped, trying to convince myself as much as him. He sighed, his gaze softening. "Stop being mad. I didn't kiss her." "Oh, but you flirted with her, right? Just like you flirted with me? Is that your game? Getting under my skin until you're bored?" I rolled my eyes, feeling the irritation and hurt I'd buried begin to rise again. He reached for me, but I shoved him back just enough to see his face. His eyes held mine as he sighed again. "No." "What then? Am I not enough of a challenge for you anymore? Is that why you keep another girl around?" [Twelve years ago, she crashed her dad's car while trying to escape, nearly killing the love of her life in the process. Since then, a part of her has been lost. She promised herself that if they ever met again, she would never do anything to hurt him again even if that means, she has to pretend to be nobody in his life. But what if, despite her every attempt to push him away, he continually breaks down her walls? What if those very walls she built are what's keeping him alive? What if she makes a mistake once more, putting his life in danger? What if...]

Ranked #22 in Isolation 07/25/2023 "I'm not mate material. You're better off without me." My heart clenched at his words and my wolf whined internally. "I, James, reject you, Grace, as my ma-" I lunged across the counter quickly placing my hand over his mouth. My other hand shot to the table to stabilize myself and I hissed loudly as I dumbly slammed it down on his knife. I could feel it biting into my palm slicing the flesh but I dared not move in fear that he would finish his sentence. "Please don't do that to me." I pleaded as my eyes began to well with unshed tears. He attempted to lean back out of my hold but I only moved with him crawling fully onto the counter hovering above him, one hand still firmly pressed to his mouth. I could feel pleasant tingles surging through my palm and I wondered briefly what it would feel like to be kissed by him. He moved back again and when I tried to move with him this time I successfully slipped off the counter losing my grip on his mouth. His arms reached out pulling me to his form rather than the ground and I clutched onto his top as sparks danced on my skin everywhere we made contact. I couldn't help my instincts as I breathed in his scent feeling my muscles relax and my head go light. "You're an idiot to be begging for someone you don't even know." He looked at my bloody palm that now gripped his grey shirt properly staining it. I released my hold on him trying not to cringe at the pain in my palm but I was never good at hiding my emotions. "Idiot." He stated again staring at me.

"Don't even think about how the f**k goes anything!" He clenched his fist. It was him, the man that I really loved for the whole fourteen years, without knowing it. How come I didn't see him immediately. My heart was pounding, all I wanted was, to hold his hand with mine, keep him for myself, love and cherish him. I'm in love with him, and nothing can change the way I feel for him. He planted a peck on my lips. "Just tell me if you could give us a chance." I smiled, then pulled him for another kiss, not wanting him to let go, but before I could regain my senses, he took control of those kisses we shared, he licked, sucked and bit my lips until, I gasped and took that moment to explore every inch of my Mouth with his tongue. I don't know, how long we've kissed, but when we finally pulled a bit away from each other while gasping and running after our breath, his expression was pure delightful and surprised. My heart flutters, He simply smiles and kisses me again more gently and passionately this time. Published Date: November 14, 2022 Finished Date:
