This is not a love story, yet there is love.
This is not an action story, but there is a struggle to survive.

This is a story about conformity, and what happens when an individual fails to do what his government demands of him. This is a story of betrayal and pain; affection and loss. This is the tale of Ames Emch: a displaced youth incapable of feeling and looking the way that is demanded of him.

This is the story of what gave him hope, and who took that hope away from him.
