All her life, Jane Noble has noticed strange things happening around her mother. For one thing, her mother gets terrible migraines all the time and Jane feels like she is being watched. After her great grandad died, her mother seems to have gotten worse. Jane fears for the worse until one day she runs into a strange man in the park who asks her many questions about her mother, Donna Noble. When Jane asks the strange man his name, all he says is"I'm the Doctor. Please do not tell your mother you saw me. It will make her condition much much worse."
