Maplekit's mother was slaughtered on the tunderpath and a nearby clan takes advantage from her mother's death and takes her into her their clan as a replacement for a kit who was taken by a fox. Her new clanmates don't trust her one bit. When she turns to the dark side and kills one of her clanmates while out hunting with them, her clanmates take this as a chance to chase her out but, a pawful of her clanmates defend her as a brave cat that risked her life to defend her clanmate even if he died. She is rewarded with her warrior name, MapleGorge. She later turns on them and flees her old clan to create a group of rouges. Her old clanmates now know one thing, never mess with MapleGorge. And if you do, you'll soon find out why she is greatly feared.

However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her.
