Some fantasies aren't all they're cracked up to be...

Cara, princess of the Seelie Fae, had always been meant for great things.  Then, she is betrayed by her brother, and left to die in the human world.  A world she has almost no knowledge of, and no hope of surviving.

Conall, finding a woman bloodied, abused, and half dead on his lands, takes her to his keep to nurse her back to health.  But she is more than she seems, and he finds himself with far more than he bargained for.

Will Cara be able to find lasting happiness after her brother's betrayal, or will pain forever light her path?

Charlotte sat there unmoving, tears falling down her cheeks. She could not do anything as she watched her sisters casket go down into the ground. She did not look to her older brothers for comfort, she did not look to her parents. She just sat there and sadly watched her sister and bestfriend, her twin, as she got burried in the ground. Her heart felt like there was an empty void in it, a missing-or rather-a dead piece. The sky opened up ontop of them, though non of them cared, they welcomed the rain and what it brought. They had a connection that astounded people.The pain of losing someone so close, of someone who was literally like your other half, is one that no one should have to experience. But Charlotte did. Now, after her twin's death, Charlotte will not only have to live life without her twin, but learn to get close to people again. With struggles of self worth and depression, Charlotte has a hard time accepting her life as it now is. She even gains an unlikely friend but is hesitant to even let him in her life. Will this person and her family help Charlotte cope with her life as it is now? Who will save her from herself?
