So when she is sent to be a maidservant for the royal vampire family in the Crimson Capital her life takes an unexpected and drastic turn. There she meets the dark and enigmatic, Killian Somer, the prince of vampires and humans. 

As soon as they meet sparks fly and it's clear neither of them will be able to stay away from the other even though it's forbidden. As more humans are tortured and killed everyday, both vow to put an end to the mad king's reign, Killian's own father. Soon they are in a battle between life and death and neither of them know if they'll make it out alive.
