The day The Crashing's happen, the whole world changed. There is a chemical that can influence people to do acts of violence against others, making them go mad. Somehow, this chemical is linked to Scarlet Miller and her father's creations, but now The Government has it. 

The world is nearly destroyed when Scarlet runs into Isaac and his little sister Melanie. Melanie reminds Scarlet of her own sister who was kill and promises to keep her safe because she has failed her own.

This leads them working together to figure out what this chemical is, and how to stop it from ruining their world completely.  At first, what only matters to Isaac is keeping his sister safe, but as they work together Isaac starts to fall for Scarlet, and all of her courageous glory. He'll do anything to protect Mel and Scarlet.

As they get closer to the truth, the world she thought knew becomes nothing but a lie. The Government has life changing information about Scarlet's family, but all she has known is to not trust them. The things about her family. . . about Isaac don't add up, but her wanting to trust him is there.
 
Truths will be uncovered and lies will become confusing. Scarlet suddenly doesn't know who to trust or what to believe. Will love and trust be enough, or will the truth conquer all?
