Kara is thought to be a normal 12-year-old girl with a single mother. She did everything like other kids, went to school, played outside, read books, play games, etc. That all changed, September 11th, 2001. After the terrorist plane attack taking down the twin towers and crashing into the Pentagon, a stranger knocked on her front door, holding what looked to be a book. Holding secrets no one knew about, she was sent off to the cold forests of Canada to find out where it all started.
