Girls date girls.

Boys date boys.

Girls don't date boys and boys don't date girls.

Dating, kissing, or touching the opposite sex is wrong, it's a sin. It's against the rules and the people that don't follow the rules get punished.

Girls only see boys when permitted and same for the boys, they only see girls when given permission, and it's only to talk.

They are always separated, girls are on the pink buildings and boys are on the blue buildings. 

The whole country is divided in two, one half is inhabited by girls, and the other half is inhabited by boys. The two side are divided by fences, so there's no communication or contact between opposite sexes.

But what happen when two people start thinking differently? They don't feel one bit attracted to their same sex, they think it's wrong to feel that way, they feel guilty. But there's nothing they can do about it.
