Freak Club. It was supposed to be a joke pulled by the senior class presidents, but the school's principal took it seriously. Freak Club was a club where any social outcasts could join and feel welcomed somewhere. Most of the group fell asleep halfway through, but for three kids who knew nothing about each other, it was their greatest escape.

Being a teenager's not an easy thing at all, especially not for Emily Anderson. At seven, her father abandoned the family. At twelve, she faced the wrath of middle school humiliation. And now, at sixteen, her mother was ill and deteriorating. Fast. That's why it's no surprise when she's introduced to the Freak Club. There, she meets two of the most influential people in her life: Bentley Hughes and Colin Reynolds.

Through two hour sessions of choked tears and stifled laughs, these three misfits learn that they're not completely alone after all.
