I read the message over and over again as my heart broke a little more with each word, but no matter how unbearable the pain was I refused to cry. I put on a mask as if I was unfazed by what I just read when my friends found their way back to our booth. I grabbed my phone and wallet standing up and leaving the restaurant after telling everyone I needed to go for a walk. Alone. Little did I know, that walk would end up changing lives.

This feeling known as "anxiety," has caused some heartbreaking moments in my life. I still remember when I was told to give my prefectship manifesto during the school assembly.
