Arachnophobia (fear of spiders), trypophobia (fear of holes, usually irregular patterns), claustrophobia (fear of small, confined spaces), acrophobia (fear of heights). These are some of the many common phobias that people have around the world. A person may develop a phobia after a particularly frightening event, especially if he or she feels out of control. Kim Minseo has lived with a phobia since she was 15 years old, pyrophobia, the fear of fire.

A young Minseo was sleeping in bed after a large Christmas dinner her family hosted. The day started off with excitement, joy and many surprises when opening presents under the Christmas tree. Minseo replayed the day in her head many times before she drifted off to sleep that night.

However, this was the Christmas she will be dying to forget.

"Well, not scared but spiders are kinda creepy. I mean they have so many eyes and female funnel webs eat their mate."

*strange voice calling from the house*

"Oh your Auntie Helen sounds like shes going to pass out. I'm going to go check on her alright? Sleep soon for tomorrow alright?"

"Yeah okay. Goodnight mum."
