"ERIN! Get out of bed! Your going to be late for your first day" 
Is all I hear as my eyelids flutter open, and as my body starts to wake up.
What a great way to start the day. 

"DON'T MAKE ME COME UP THERE ERIN!" 

"Fuck off mum" I mumble to myself.. 
I pull away the soft, warm bedcovers slowly, trying to take as long as I can to piss off my mum
 As swing my legs over to get up, I hear my door open 

"Morning Mitch, how did you sleep baby?" I coo to my little brother as he lazily walks over to sit on my bed with me

"I slept okay, I had another bad dream" 
As I pull him into a hug I see the dark black bags under his red, swollen eyes. 
No 10 year old should have to go through what my baby brother does. Nobody should.

"Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.

As I see my mom walk out the door I look at my dad smiling at me. The way he smiled at me made realize how afraid he was. I glance at him and give him a fake smile before he comes up to me and gives me a hug. The warmth of his body was reassuring but I feel the tears start to come down his face.
