Eerie

After a long and tiring day at work, you felt the urge to just lie down and sprawl on your bed; even the taxi ride was lulling you to sleep. When you opened the gate, you didn't notice that there weren't any lights on. You only felt the chill when you were standing at your front door. Having been used to going home with a lit house, the darkness was very odd. After opening the front door, the only light you can feel emitting through the house was from the streetlights outside. You weren't also used to being surrounded with silence after work.
