After Carl's issue regarding Sally's odd and quiet personality went even worse than the usual mocking on the day of his birthday, turning a simple joke into a bizzare reality.  

When extroverted Carl met the meek personality of Sally at a summer camp everything he knew about being normal changed into a morphed perspective that introverts are a psycho bunch suited for being called the 'odd animals: cats' adding the terms desperate and attention-seekers in an attempt to fit into a world dominated by outgoing and fun-loving extroverts.  Making his words into his worst nightmare when out of the blue he turned into a cat.
