Lloyd has been in a deep depression since his father was lost. Kai hates seeing him like this and would do anything to save him. Though, now the stakes for saving Lloyd are higher... Lloyd has been kidnapped by pirates and is about to love is elemental abilities!! Not only is depression setting in, but a loss in hope is also a worry for Lloyd. With unexpected twists along the way, the meeting of new friends and foes, can Kai ultimately save Lloyd from both depression and the Sky Pirates??

(May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no.
