Gerald and Mister G

Young Gerald Herbert Mortem, son of the affluent Mortem family, was used to being left alone. His parents had little time for him after attending to their many responsibilities, and he was not allowed to leave their large estate. One day, a tall, gaunt man dressed fully in black entered his room unexpectedly and without permission. Gerald was delighted for the company, and his delight grew even more when the man promised to take him to “a better place”.
