Consequences – the game where we write a short story by passing it around a table. Each person takes it in turns to write a line. To make it more interesting, they can only see the one line before theirs. Everything else, including the start of the story, is hidden until the writing is finished and the paper unfolded.

This week's theme was Utopia and Dystopias, so naturally everything ended up super-dark. As a group, we produced an eclectic mix of pain, murder, war and... bunnies. All in preparation for the next week's Horror Consequences, I guess.

Another Chapter (Descendants of Heroes #1) [Canceled Series] by CandyThePuppy

It's a bit harder than I thought to find a story where the heroes have to deal with long term consequences. Most stories seem to like; short choices, short consequences, and everyone is left wondering what will happen years later. It isn't as realistic to have a story just, END. That would feel too "staged." Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So what about this story is so different from the others? Well in this book, now, this SERIES, I decided to focus on how the past is impacting the present. It could be big decisions like going to war or not, or it could be small, like simply forgetting to tell your friend thanks every now and then. This is a story that takes place after my main series, one that I am still working on :} It is kind of a finale clincher, but at the same time, it is only the next chapter, the next stage one might call it. However, I made sure to write this in a way so that you have to pay attention to find out how things connect. All in all, this is a story, a series, about dealing with the mistakes of the past. Just about everyone has made a mistake that comes to affect this book. This series of books. And THIS, is when their choices come around to haunt them. -Everyone's fav, EVM :} [1st in the: Descendants of Heroes, series. Right after the Bedrock Breakers trilogy] (book is finished, just transferring it from my journals to Wattpad -about February 2019)

In a world where the line between right and wrong is almost impossible to see, a secret government program assigns assassins known as "the Blades." Each Blade is assigned a target, called a "Point," and they have exactly three days to eliminate them. If they fail, the consequences are brutal. Tasked with eliminating their target within a perilous three-day window, the Blades face the dire consequence of failure: either the Point is given the ultimate right to revenge, or the ruthless government steps in to execute the assassin for non-completion. With a thrill-inducing countdown ticking away, every mission becomes a high-stakes battle where only one person can survive. But not everything is as clear-cut as it seems. Some Blades start to question their orders. As the oppressive pressure mounts, ethical dilemmas and surprising connections unfold, forcing assassins to confront their own humanity. Loyalties fracture, secrets unravel. As the clock counts down, the Blades face impossible decisions. Should they blindly follow orders, or risk their own lives to do what's right? In a system designed to break them, they'll have to figure out where they stand before time runs out. In "The Fatal Assignment," A twisted game where survival is the only prize. Chosen from the forgotten corners of society - the desperate, the skilled, the expendable - they were given a target, a weapon, and a countdown clock. Failure meant death. Simple, brutal, and terrifyingly effective.

I've watched the games for as long as I can remember, but I never thought I'd be in there, fighting for my life, one day. Unnaturals are the curse of the world. They were once people, but in only seconds, they were changed and given unnatural powers. In order to keep them contained, North America creates an arena, a sort of gladiator battle, imprisoning the Unnaturals there and forcing them to fight to the death. And for the humans out there - make one mistake, and you'll be in there with them. Joel has made that mistake. He was caught unintentionally helping an Unnatural escape. Now he finds himself thrown into a world that's completely different from what he was told, and learns two very important things. These Unnaturals are just as human as he is. And there is no escaping the games alive. ... Intense trigger warnings for torture, heavy violence, depression, self harm, and suicide. They are present in most chapters, and therefore I have not included trigger warnings. Read at your own risk. If you want a rundown of triggering chapters, message me personally. #292 in Science Fiction #4 in unnatural #1 in both tristam and braken Started on November 20th 2017 Finished on March 18th 2018
