There, she meets a group of theater "misfits" who accept her into their troupe.  Armed with a full troupe of actors, the misfit theater company takes on a one act that will not only challenge Janie's shyness, but also her feelings for fellow misfit Thatcher.

One kiss meant nothing. He always wanted to know how she kissed. He got his answer. Their drama teacher has now partnered them up as acting buddies for the next play. That was the last thing she wanted. The more time she spends with him during rehearsals, the more she sees him, his dedication, his passion. He's mesmerizing. Sam sees a spark in her when it's the two of them. Sassy as she is, there is a vulnerable side she shares. She's falling for his charm. She's falling for him. But does he feel the same way? Going to an high end school doesn't make matters any better when she has to constantly be reminded that it isn't her lifestyle, and those like Silas Remington will make this one hell of a school year.
