Once upon a time, there was a sweet young Peruvian woman by the name of Personita. She bred and sold llamas.

Also once upon a time, there was an ancient Time Lord by the name of Doctor. He travelled around and bemoaned the loss of his planet and/or species.

Also also once upon a time, there was a young alpaca named Grace. She dreamed of becoming a llama. Her favorite song was the superman theme song. Her favorite food was brownies. She preferred shouting/screaming to spitting. She was a little inept as far as alpacas go.

Also also once upon a time, there was a llama by the name of DAMMIT HELEN YOU KNOW THIS GUY DOESN'T HAVE A NAME BECAUSE I WANTED THAT TO BE FUNNY SO DO NOT ADD ANY NAME THANK YOU

What happens to Personita? Will the Doctor be able to save her? Will Grace ever become a llama? And will they ever find out the name of that one llama?

Lots of fun, Doctor Who, llamas, alpacas, and breaking the fourth wall!

DOCTOR WHO: Arising -- A Nova Sue Prequel (Part 1.5) by audisawesomesauce
13 parts Complete
{PREQUEL to my "Odd Life of Nova Sue" series} Not everybody is ready for parenthood, certainly not the Doctor. His wife, River Song, would have thought that her husband would be happy to have the chance of being a father again after many centuries of being alone, and his wife would finally have the chance of being a mother, which was a privilege her parents never had because of the events on Demons Run. When the Doctor starts to sense "abnormalities" with his and his wife's unborn daughter's health, he immediately decides to take action, and scans prove that his child may be more special than he and River had originally thought. When River is kidnapped, the Doctor never expects things to become so personal until that moment. Will he be willing to risk everything, including River Song's life and the lives of his closest friends, to save his daughter and prevent her from suffering the exact same fate as her mother? And if the rescue proves successful, will he be willing to give his daughter up in order to keep her safe from anyone who tries to take advantage of her? These could very well be the greatest and most complicated questions of the Doctor's many lives, and only his fatherly instincts can guide him to make the correct choices. --------------------------------------- Based on the BBC television show, Doctor Who. Story can be considered as Part 0.5 and Part 1.5 and links with my trilogy "The Odd Life of Nova Sue." "Part 1: Becoming" is currently out and can be found on my profile. This story, as well as the rest of the trilogy, can also be found on fanfiction.net and AO3 under the same profile name.

"... So maybe I did do it!" he mumbled, looking aimlessly at the ground. "Do what? Jumped us away in time?" "Wha...? How did you know I was going to say that?" "Well, first of all, last night you had this bright light around you, and then, the the next thing I knew, we wound up here. Then, while you were passed out, I looked a bit around. And by all indications, this is the exact same place we were at when we crashed. It just looks different: no asphalt roads, no city lights, no cell phone signal. And third, I just saw a ship at sea, which looked like the damn Mayflower! So I figured it can only mean one thing: we are in the past!" ************************************************ As they are about to experience a fatal car crash, LA surgeon Diego Perez and his wife Louise get sent back in time to the 19th century. It turns out that Diego has the ability to time-travel, and though he can not fully control it, this is not his first time doing it. The two get sent to the timeline of Diego's youth, three months after his mysterious disappearance when he was twenty years old. Now, at a much more mature age, but with a still youthful appearance, he is forced to take things up where he left them, with an upcoming wedding to his pregnant fiancée and much unresolved business as the town protector, Zorro. But he has his modern-day wife with him, who has her own connections to this place and time, and things get more complicated by the day. Will he be able to figure out how to get his wife back home? Will their love endure the test of the time travel? Will they manage to navigate the rough waters of their existence in the 19th century? Word Count approx. 86000. Warning: mature content and mature language Disclaimer: Very loosely based on original characters in Zorro by Johnston McCulley, the one by Isabel Allende and Kaiketsu Zorro.
