After the huge "Calamity War" that happened more than 300 years ago gave the Space government power to rule Earth's Sphere. The new government created a new world on Earth. However, another conflict of power is heading to the Mar's Sphere.
In an unknown wasteland area with a secret security organisation, Chryse Guard Security (CGS), has young orphan soldiers that has volunteered for complete independence. A young boy, Mikazuki Augus is given a mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernsten to obtain a liberate status for the Martian city of Chryse and become independence from Earth.
However, a space military organisation, Gjallarhorn attacks CGS to disturb the independence movement. A rebellion is created when Mikazuki and a group of young boys that is leaded by Orga Itsuka decides to use the escaping adults of CGS as decoys.
In a rush of survival, Orga then orders Mikazuki to use the Gundam Barbatos - a mobile suit that was used during the Calamity War and symbol of hope for independence - to protect the secret organisation. The only problem is that a young lady with a mysterious past holds the vital key for freedom. The problem is, who is she and how is she linked to Kudelia, and the Calamity and previous wars?
