This story is set in the System - a utopian society which has emerged after years of conflict and injustice. The world is managed by a powerful group of artificial personalities who spend their time in virtual worlds. Human beings change their bodies and their DNA to extend and improve their lives. New worlds are colonised by intelligent machines and strange organic creations. 

This world was introduced in my earlier novel, "System". The story continues as society picks up the pieces after the "Assassination Crisis". Who will fill the gaps left by Crittis and Gastis? What can be done to restore confidence? While leaders are focussing on the last crisis, a new threat is emerging...

This is the second of my stories to be set in the System. There are links to the first book, but it's a stand-alone story. I hope you enjoy it.

This is my first story, and I'm writing this mostly for fun, so don't get mad if it's not on par with all these gods of writing. Meet Angel, a girl just trying to get by in this living torture she calls a life. Being abused by her father, and living life in constant fear, she does her best to get by. What happenes when she tries to get away from all the hardship, but only ends up finding more? And maybe even finding someone that can save her from her own misserable life. Note from future self: This story is extremely cringy and only gets worse as it goes on. When I was writing it there was a whole bunch of other stuff going on so I was rushing away too much to actually get it done. Content warning: Contains graphic descriptions and extreme violence. Reader discretion is advised. Note from the future - This is very cringy now that I look back at it. I ended up rushing to finish it after like chapter 4 (which shows) so just warning the quality gets worse as it goes on T-T. The Advors remained hidden under the tall rainforest trees while the Resinix and Proditors ruled the rest of the Earth with an iron fist. I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
