Susan was a girl that commited suicide in 1876 in room 625 in the orphanage in down town Toronto. two years later a little girl named Katy that was the next girl that lived in that room. Susan haunts Katy until Katy asks what happened to her. Susan tells Katy but Susan doesn't know how to trust her so she test Katy in multiple ways. Katy helps Susan get through what she is going through and also help herself through what she is going through. They go through struggles throughout the book.
