It had been years since our first performance; years since we clicked. Years since I believed that nothing bad would happen to us, that we would be invincible. Year since I trusted my judgement.

We had been lying to ourselves when we were put together as a band, and had been lying ever since. Simplicity wasn't easy to achieve, especially with five boys with as different of personalities as we had, but this had been out-of-hand for quite a while. The enjoyment was gone; we'd split off into groups, and no longer was our honesty present in the whole group, but rather in pairs who snickered and giggled and went off on their own, leaving the rest to question and fret.

But how this all started was the most interesting mystery of all. In irony, we really had been going in circles; "dizzy's all it make us, we know where it takes us, we've been before".

Disclaimer: this is not my writing this is by goldenhazzalou on AO3 and I wanted to put it on here Harry and Louis have been friends since they were young, only living a street apart for years. They played with toy trains and paper airplanes, they walked into their very first and very last day of primary school hand in hand, they asked each other embarrassing questions that left their cheeks tinted pint as they navigated puberty through middle school, they shared their first kiss together because they were too nervous to ask anyone else, they blurred the lines constantly between friendship and something more.
